Razzamataz Theatre School, the national network of stage schools that appeared on Dragon’s Den, is inviting your kids to take part in acting and singing workshops during the summer holidays.
The company opened its first Manchester branch earlier this year, and is running a summer stage academy at Chorlton High School, Chorlton from Monday 17 August to Friday 21 August.
During the week, the experienced and enthusiastic teachers will be running classes in acting, dance and singing, with some additional work in costume, basic audition technique, and prop-making, all culminating in a short performance for parents and family on the final day.
All participants will receive a goody bag and certificate, and you don’t have to be a current Razzamataz student to take part. This year’s theme is 'Camp Rock', so there will be some work on street dance as well as modern musical song and dance and acting through both improvisation and text.
Enrollments are being taken now and places are strictly limited. Times and costs are 10am-1pm and £70 for the week for 4-8 year olds, and 10am-4pm and £110 for the week for 9-16 year olds. Sibling discounts for brothers and sisters are also available.
For an application form, please contact Rhonwen on 0161 225 3990, or email manchestersouth@razzamataz.co.uk. Please visit www.razzamataz.co.uk for more information.
