Meet Dora and SpongeBob

Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants in the Arndale in August

Published on July 29th 2010.

Meet Dora and SpongeBob

Manchester’s children will be treated to an extra-special summer holiday delight, when not one but two very special guests make an appearance at Manchester Arndale next week.

As a special memento of the day, children can then download a picture of them taken with Dora or SpongeBob from the Nickelodeon website for free.

Nickelodeon favourites, Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants, will be at Halle Square on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 August, giving young fans a once in a life time chance to meet their animated heroes face to face.

Dora will be asking children to join her in shouting ‘Ahoy there, matey!’ in her pirate themed activity area, while SpongeBob fans can meet their idol in his underwater world of Bikini Bottom. As a special memento of the day, children can then download a picture of them taken with Dora or SpongeBob from the Nickelodeon website for free.

There will be a wristband entry system for each character meet and greet, which will only be available on the day, on a first-come first-served basis.

Glen Barkworth, General Manager for Manchester Arndale said: “We’ve had lots of VIPs in Manchester Arndale over the years, but none quite like Dora and SpongeBob! We’re all looking forward to a fun-filled couple of days.”
