Merlin's magical ride is now open

The fantastic new ride at Legoland was unveiled and our competition winners were first try it out

Legoland Discovery Centre, Manchester has now opened the much anticipated Merlin's Apprentice ride and Kids Confidential winners were among the first to have a go.

Our winners, Matthew Bumby and Lewis Wilmot, were invited as special guests to the grand opening event. Hollyoaks actor, Ellis Hollins (who plays Tom Cunningham in the soap) opened the ride and our mini wizards were among the lucky few to get seats.

When the ride was over, a party awaited with cakes, sandwiches and treats galore. To end the occasion, Matthew and Lewis were taken outside to light beautiful paper lanterns which were lifted off into the evening sky. A great time was had by all.

Please note: height restrictions apply. Guests must be a minimum of 90cm to ride and guests between 90cm and 120cm must ride with a responsible adult.
