From terrifying trails to spooky story-telling, here's a list of activities going on at your nearest National Trust location wherever you are across the UK.

Bodiam Castle, East Sussex         
Spooky challenge, 22-30 October, 11am – 3pm
Seek out the clues then track down the creepy castle character to claim a Halloween prize.

Belton House, Lincolnshire
Halloween happenings, 22-30 October, 11am – 4pm
Wear a spooky costume and join Belton for a spooks, spoofs, ‘skellingtons’ and wellingtons family fun trail around the garden (£1.50); a magic pumpkin trail for small children;  masks a crafts in the discovery centre and frightening food in the restaurant.
Extras for weekends include fearsome face painting (£3) and spooky stories in the stables.

Halloween twilight trails, 26-28 October, 5pm – 7pm
Only the brave should embark on this Halloween trail. Beware and be careful to make it back to the restaurant for a home-cooked Halloween supper.  Plus discover spooky treats all week in the Chartwell shop.

Autumn colours and Halloween fun, 30 October, 12pm – 6pm 
Explore the Dudmaston hall's garden in all its autumn glory. Admire the gold’s of the lime trees, the reds and yellows of the acres and the striking exposed white bark of the silver birches, while children follow the spooky Halloween trail round the grounds. Warm up by the log fire in the garden room where children can make a special Halloween memento. And visit the tearoom to try some traditional Halloween fayre.
