Stars and Stripes Classic American Car Show at Tatton Park

Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July, 10am - 4pm

The North West's premier event for lovers of all things American. Huge Fins 'n' Chrome cars from the 1950s and 1960s. Corvettes, Mustangs, Cadillacs, Hot Rods, Custom Cars and more plus the famous Wall of Death. Cavalcades of all the best American cars. Trade stalls selling American related items and general trade stands, live music and refreshments. A great day out for all the family.

Adult £7.50, Children under 12 are free.

 

Beech Road Festival, Chorlton on Beech Road, Chortlon

Saturday 3 July, noon onwards

Live music in the park with local bands playing until 7pm. Unity Arts with their special brand of fun and music for the kids. Hula Hooping, Salsa dancing and stalls selling all sorts on the Green and in the Park

Teddy Bears Picnic at Dunham Massey

Saturday 9 and 10 July, noon

Bring your favourite teddy bear and a picnic to the garden, with Punch and Judy, storytelling and teddy related music from the brass band.

Billy's War at Imperial War Museum North

Saturday 9, Saturday 23 and Wednesday 27 July, 11.30am

This lively and engaging session uses a range of visual materials, sound and replica objects to tell the captivating story of a young boy from Salford who was evacuated to the countryside during the Second World War. Led by a member of our friendly staff, families will follow the story of Billy (a charming rag doll character) and learn about life on the home front during the Second World War.

Imagine Weekend at Manchester Art Gallery

Saturday 16 July, noon - 4pm

RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park

Wednesday 20 – Sunday 24 July, 10am – 6.30pm (last admission 6pm)

The show has a fresh and vibrant feel bursting with sizzling colour and summer perfumes. Be inspired by conceptual and visionary show gardens, designed by up and coming talent and established designers. Enjoy fabulous collections of plants and flowers from leading nurseries and take time to discover stunning arts and crafts. Arty Picnic at The Whitworth Art Gallery

Wednesday 27 and Friday 29 July, 11am and noon

Bring your family and some food (if you fancy lunch), and meet an artist for fun creative activities. Don't worry if it is a wet Wednesday or Friday and raining outside,the picnics will be held in the gallery.
