At the Family Fun Day, young people can take part in a range of activities, starting with the Junior Y Session in the sports hall – a two-hour runabout with five-a-side football, soft play, ball pool, badminton and table tennis.  Next it's over to the pool for a fun swim with inflatables, then in the afternoon there's all sorts of good stuff happening, from mini-manicures, face painting and bouncy castles to a cheerleading class. Adults can do a zumba class for free if they like. There'll be a BBQ on the terrace of the adjoining Castlefield Hotel with a small charge for food.
Come evening, they'll have a live band, a mini auction, plus food and drink. If you want to ditch the kids at this point, you can head to the disco in the hotel bar, which runs until 1am.
