JLS are set to become the first UK pop group to release a 3D concert movie.
On Friday 3 June, Showcase Manchester, on Hyde Road, will present 'Eyes Wide Open', the first 3D concert movie from JLS filmed on their recent sold-out UK arena tour. The movie will be screened at Showcase Manchester for one day only over three separate showings of 4pm, 5:50pm and 8pm, giving fans plenty of chance to see the X Factor boy band in all their glory.
The tour saw the band play to hundreds of thousands of fans and came hot on the heels of ‘Outta This World’, the 500,000-selling follow up album to their multi-platinum self-titled debut.
The live run was captured for Eyes Wide Open at the sold-out London O2 Arena show in January 2011. The feature-length movie will not only see the four-piece performing hits like ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ and ‘This Club Is Alive’ but will also feature unseen interviews and backstage footage of Marvin, JB, Oritsé and Aston.
Marvin says: “Fans can expect to see things they’ve never seen before like the group in the dressing-room before the shows, what we get up to when we're on the road, partying with our dancers and crew, and ending up in random locations around the country.
“We decided to make a concert movie because it’s another JLS first. We want our fans to see another side to us, a more intimate side, proper fly-on-the-wall stuff”.
Tickets to watch the movie are available from the box office, online at www.showcasecinemas.co.uk or on 0871 220 1000. Insider members receive a special price of only £8 (which includes the purchase of 3D glasses) to join go to www.showcasecinemas.co.uk/programmes
