CHRISTMAS just isn’t complete without an advent calendar and this one is going to get the children of the North West very excited.
This year Alex Bidolak, the master model builder at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester, has built a giant advent calendar with Lego bricks and behind its 24 colourful doors are 24 amazing prizes making up a package worth £1,278.
The Universe section of the attraction will be transformed into Santa’s workshop where guests can take part in festive Lego builds where they will make Snowmen, Candy Canes and mini Christmas Tree scenes.
The workshop will also feature the giant Lego advent calendar offering a prize a day behind each door. Kids just have to build three festive models to enter the draw for the chance to take home whatever the door reveals – expect a range of exciting Lego sets including a Lego Harry Potter Hogwart’s Castle, Technic Supercar and even a Lego Star Wars Death Star throughout the month.
Children who bring their gift wish list for Santa can trust that the centre staff will post it to him in time and as another treat they will be granted entry to the attraction for free if accompanied by a full paying adult.
For your chance to win one of the fantastic prizes on offer, all you have to do is head over to the centre any day from Thursday 1 - Staurday 24 December.
The Centre is open from 10am - 7pm, seven days a week (last admission at 5pm).
