SINCE the BBC started the move to MediaCity, it's been keen to get people on site for a number of events.
The latest was last week, for a special performance of Justin's House, the new CBeebies show starring sometime Mr Tumble and Lord of the under-sevens, Justin Fletcher.
"The real chaos started when the cast came out to meet the kids after the half hour performance. The children swarmed towards Justin like a modern day Pied Piper."
CBBC is one of the five BBC departments moving from London to Salford, and the cast and crew are already well into the recording schedule for Justin's House - four episodes are in the bag.
Too much cakeAn invited audience was allowed into one of the newly-build HD studios to see a live version of the first episode.
I've watched Peel spend millions building MediaCity over the past few yerars, so it was strange to watch a gang of under-tens try and dismantle the place in just over an hour. That's what happens when you fill a table full of free cake I suppose.
The set up of the new show is this: Justin has moved into a new house, which comes complete with its own robot (Robert, who likes cake) and a green fluffy pest called Little Monster.
Cue trips, slips, custard pies and mentions of bottoms whenever possible. The kids lapped it up. Chuck in a bit of singing and dancing and it all adds up to a room full of hyped-up juveniles barely able to contain themselves.
But the real chaos started when the cast came out to meet the kids after the half hour performance. The children swarmed towards Justin like a modern day Pied Piper.
The stampedeI've no idea how he does it, but Fletcher has a genuine talent for entertaining children as well as adults and depite looking slightly drained, he manfully posed for pictures with every kid that wanted one.
Good on the BBC for getting people in to see what goes on behind the scenes too. My little girl was amazed that she was 'inside the telly' and her mate Oscar nearly lost the plot completeld when Little Monster stuck the final custard pie in Justin's face.
For the BBC, it was an easy points win with local media. They've got a new house too, just take it easy on the custard pies with the guests.

In answer to your questions regarding tickets to the show, Justin’s House is the only CBeebies show that has an audience. For the last series, tickets were only available to pupils from local schools who were invited to come along and watch the show.
Filming of the first series has now finished. It's not known if there will be a second series yet, we'll keep you posted.

My five year old son and 18 month old daughter absolutely love this show we watch it all the time its a shame that the audience is restricted to the Salford area. I think it would be an absolute sell out if Justin was to tour with this as he relates to young children so well. I took my children to Poulton's Park to see him and he was fantastic.
