In between singing, writing children’s books, acting (of sorts) and causing a furor in Malowi over adoption rights, Madge is now channeling her creativity into children’s clothes
The Fall 2007 collection of the English Roses line designed by Lipstik Clothing is inspired by Madonna’s best selling children’s books The English Roses and Too Good To Be True
The brand is already established in the US and made its European debut at the Premier KIDS Apparel Show in Birmingham this week. The English Roses which is for girlies only (you can kinda guess from the name) ranges from size 2T to 12 and is available online at www.englishrosescollection.com
Since its arrival in the US in 2004, the brand has consistently been hailed as ‘the hippest line of girl's clothing in the US market’, with its bold use of colors and trendsetting designs. "Retailers from Europe were knocking on Lipstik's door asking when they could carry The English Roses line. As a result, Madonna enthusiastically embraced the idea of bringing the line to the European marketplace,” stated Dell Furano, CEO Signatures Network, the exclusive merchandising representative for the brand.
From a thoroughly British standpoint, some of the styles look like a throwback from Desperately Seeking Susan, but hey, who are we to argue with the woman who made conical bras a must-have item.
However, there are some fabulously fun and deliciously sweet styles as well and we’ve picked our absolute faves for your perusal.
The English Roses Fall 2007 Collection will be available in stores in the US and Europe in June 2007 and purchased via the Shoppe link on the interactive website. www.englishrosescollection.com
